Ran slow on purpose today so that recovery would be quicker. Saturday is the 60 minute run some want to be rested well for that. Today was also rest day from the squats challenge. I actually feel more sore from that than the running. Tomorrow we do 60. I’m feeling that already.

It was supposed to be a 30 minute run today but the course I plotted out was a 5k. Took us 37 minutes to run it. Slower than my official 5k time but that’s ok since this route had one long hill that really ate into the time. Keri’s 5k time has improved by at least 6 minutes.
Before the run, we completed day 3 of the 30 Day Challenges. Squats are brutal. Legs are more sore from that than the running. It’ll all be worth it though. Each day we’re closer to our goals.

Today Keri and I both ran our longest run ever. 55 minutes! I plotted out a course that took us across the river and along the shore for a bit before it ran up and parallel to Blackstone Boulevard. At the very end we cut over to the Blackstone’s midpoint and ran back down toward the Whole Foods on Waterman. Honestly didn’t think we would get that far but we did and by an extra 50 feet or so. Excellent run. The next two will be shorter and then we do our first hour long run.
30 Day Challenges
Since Keri has the next month off from work we decided to take things up a notch and do some 30 Day Challenges. Here’s our schedule:
