We were supposed to run day 3 on Saturday but the weather was just awful all day and most of Sunday. By the time it finally cleared up it was Sunday night. Cold and windy but we got out there and ran. Didn’t really plan on running a 5k since the program only calls for a 30 minute run. However, when 30 minutes rolled around we still had plenty of energy and decided to go for it. Woot! 41 minutes. Only shaved a minute off our previous time but the course has┬ámore hill running that slows us down. Tomorrow we start week 2 and plan to run 30 minutes instead of the program’s 20. Twenty just seems too short!

  1. and to note, during our nightly pillowtalk, we have decided:

    Tuesdays (D1s) will be 30 minutes on bike path to work on time/pace.
    Thursdays (D2s) will be on our normal route / course to work on speed intervals and
    Saturdays (D3s) will be time-based for endurance, but without a mapped course…
