Week 3 done!!!! One third the way through the program now. Still running slow but able to get through each interval with no troubles. Tomorrow is a day of rest and then we start week 4 with 3 minute and 5 minute run intervals. Longer run times ahead. 5 training days from now we’ll be doing the first 20 minute run. Not really looking forward to that!

Today’s run was surprisingly easy. Keri and I have gotten to the point where we can hold a conversation during our fast walks and today we missed the cue for the second to last run. This meant turning the last walk before the last run into a run to catch up. So we ended up running 4 and a half minutes non-stop and partly uphill. Whew! I feel like my running form is starting to work better. Not nearly as stiff as week one. I think the added rowing, weights, and calisthenics are helping a ton. Only 5 more actual run days before we hit the halfway point of the program. Sweet!!!

Whew! Longer run intervals today but not as many so it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Still ending with the last run on a steep incline. It’s killer.
Did a solid 20 minutes on the rowing machine and weights too.
Just got back from a bike ride to Thayer and the garden for even more exercise. On a roll.
