Whew! Here I was thinking that week two would be much harder. Surprisingly, it was not as bad as I thought. Today is also the first day of week two in my personal physical transformation which included diet change and adding a bunch of exercise routines. I’m down 6 pounds so far. Feeling great!
Just completed the first week of Couch to 5K training. Woot! Only 8 more weeks to go!
We started our transformation last week after weeks (months) of saying we would get in shape. Finally just decided to do it and stop putting it off. My personal goal is to get down to a healthy weight and a regular running routine. I decided that C25K was the best way for me to do this since I’m really out of shape. Working from home and sitting at a desk all day combined with too much beer drinking has taken its toll. I’ve also decided to give up alcohol while doing the c25k. Instead, I will be drinking tons more water than usual. So far so good!
I’m so out of shape but I made it through the second day of week one of Couch to 5K. I have to jog slow but I can do it. I convinced Keri to join me so I’m extra motivated to actually get through this whole program. I’ve also started a calisthenics and weight lifting routine for strength training. Ordered a rowing machine that should arrive by Tuesday. I figure if I can put in a solid hour of exercise daily and eat healthy I can get in shape faster.
