6th Anniversary!

Today is the sixth anniversary of the day Keri and I met! It has been six wonderful years full of grand adventures and amazing experiences. We won’t get a chance to celebrate until Keri gets back from her Vipassana retreat in Shelburne Falls in 12 days. We both signed up for the retreat but unfortunately […]

Focaccia Bread

I asked Keri last night to teach me how to make Focaccia bread today. This is the result of my first attempt. Lately, she had been baking this bread a lot since it’s very easy to do and tastes delicious. The bread is half devoured already with a bowl of homemade potato leek soup. After […]

Autumnal prose

Fall is here. The leaves are changing. The houses in our neighborhood are decked out in Halloween decorations. The scent of wood fire fills the evening air. The ground is slightly damp from last night’s thunderstorm. It’s quiet tonight and we’re busy creating here at the Mauran Avenue pad. Keri’s working on her latest series […]

In A Year’s Time

A week ago marked one full year for us here in Lil’ Rhody! It’s hard to believe that much time has gone by. We made it! I usually look at a one year milestone as a kind of confirmation of success for what the endeavor I’ve undertaken. I think this is especially true when it […]

There’s nothin’ like hangin with your neighbors. I recommend it. Get out there and say Hi! Today we went on a walk with Megan and Murray to the Swan Point Cemetary to find H.P. Lovecraft’s gave. Afterwards, K and I got invited over to our neighbor’s house for a bbq. Can you say BEER?!!!! Woot. […]

I must thank Borba!

Drinking a nice icy cold Narragansett courtesy of John Borba and feeling damn good! Also, in the spirit of true Borbadom, Keri and I had some 7 and 7’s earlier. Today was somewhat productive. I got a bunch of the wall paint touchups done. One more little bit to do tomorrow and the apt is […]

RIP #lawrenceferlinghetti A giant of the #beatgeneration. I had the great fortune to meet him once. Here’s my #journal entry from the day (with autographs from him, Gary Snyder, and Michael McClure): Saturday August 21st 1999 - Woke up hungover this morning but that's alright. We (Me, Josie, Kelly, Gyongyi, and Joey) left at 10 or so this morning for S.F. to see a poetry reading of Philip Whalen's poetry. Performances by Snyder, Ferlinghetti, McClure, DiPrima, among others. We arrived just about 15 minutes ago...
